Another Rusty's Lift Kit thread
tkgibbs27 replied to moparmatt's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
of course there's a difference with the bolt on or the weld on. but would it really matter overall of which one you did? for a soa of course. -
i am down with that. get rid of the taxes on gas, we don't need roads anyways.
-
nice. that's a good looking ford. though i don't much care for ford.
-
i don't want one with a door.
-
i haven't had any problems with the cops so far. only time i have ever been pulled over was because he couldn't see my license plate due to my trailer ball in the way. he just told me he couldn't see it and that i couldn't get a ticket for it and let me on my way.

right on man. i think it's less of an opinion and more of a fact on ron paul. he's the only one up there who isn't a flip-flopper and he has stuck behind his principles never changing them. i was doing some research and found a page of some of the candidates and their advisers: http://www.democracynow.org/2008/1/3/vo ... _linked_us http://www.rense.com/general80/eelc.htm

thanks guys. i spent at least an hour trying to figure out what they were. had no luck. EDIT: found a couple http://www.jeep4x4center.com/cj5/Gas_Tanks.htm

is it possible to find one these rather than having the door? i don't even know what you would call that plastic piece or whatever material it is made out of. Image Not Found
-
i think i would agree with you. i would look better without it.
-
i wouldn't mind having either one of those. i like the blue one more though.
-
a lot more impressive than any other candidate. at least he's not a criminal like the rest of them.
-
whoa. a bit pricey. looks kinda cool though.

http://www.doityourself.com/stry/ara_retreadedtiresth Retreaded tires are performing flawlessly all over the world in all types of weather and on all kinds of terrain for all types of vehicles - from school and municipal buses to emergency vehicles to trucks to commercial and military aircraft. The General Services Administration, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the White House (through Executive Order 13149) all strongly endorse retreads as the tire of choice for government fleets, as well as for all commercial vehicles. didn't know what retreading was about so i checked it out earlier and was kind of skeptical if they would be safe or not. so i did some research. they sound pretty safe to me. and are a hell of a lot cheaper.

good looking mj

it's about 8 or 9 inches now i would say. it's been snowing all day. we got some pretty good back roads for 4x4 around here. we had a sweet place for off roading but some guy bought the land is closed it up. but there's another place outside of town a little bit, it's a pretty good spot, i would say it's even better than the one we had in town.
-
the roads are crazy. you can't see anything. took the family van to the gas station to pick up some chaw and hot damn did started sliding about 10 to 15 feet almost made it to the middle of the intersection. cop was sitting right there watching me and started laughing. i was only doing about about 5mph at that. sure wish i had some bigger tires on my jeep and my license plate, i'd go out on the back roads. and to add on top of all that, the snow is still coming down.
-
the bottom one is the stuff i am looking for. thanks.

the topic that talked about sending your vin number to chrysler and got all that info back? i searched for it but couldn't find it. EDIT: well rather than who posted. what was the link or email or whatever so i can get mine checked.

* 1987-1992 - Base * 1987-1990 - Chief * 1987-1990 - Laredo * 1987-1992 - SporTruck * 1988-1992 - Eliminator * 1988-1990 - Pioneer * 1986-1986 - Custom * 1986-1986 - X * 1986-1986 - XLS EDIT: The base Comanche was the Custom model, plus there was what Jeep called the "Low Series" X model. The primo Comanche was XLS. The ironically named Custom was cheap, designed for the two-by buyer and had little or no bright exterior trim. The X was a slight step up from that, with bright accents appearing primarily in the molding. The XLS and X had an optional Sport Dcor Group (black grille and bumper).

damn, sounds pretty ridiculous to me. i know i would be pissed off about that. i don't know what they'll do here. i mean i have seen other people driving around without their front license plates and they were in the windshield either. so i don't know the whole story.

it's coming down pretty fast. yesterday we had freezing rain about 1/2 inch of it or more. now it's snowing. not very common for the desert of washington. too bad i can't drive. go out and have me some fun. EDIT: there's about 5 to 6 inches of snow right now. and it doesn't look like it's going to slow down any. it's coming down as fast as it was earlier this morning.

i doubt they would find anything else. i don't do anything to get myself in trouble. and nothing else with the truck could get me anything. i did get pulled over about two weeks ago because the trailer ball was in the way of my license plate, but the officer told me i couldn't get a ticket for it. i believe it's about 30$ for a replacement place. but considering the fact that i am poor right now, i can't afford that. i think i have about 10$ to my name. guess i'll have to barrow money from my pa.

looks like a good one. also looks like you'll have some fun fixin' 'er up.
