Tuff trucks aren't about the $ you put in them. (at least not for most of us)This truck as it sits (including seat, harness, cage, etc...) we have well under $1000 in. If it breaks....we'll go to the boneyard....the Cherokees have broke a few axles over the past few years, but they generally get more air than this one will ever see..... Welcome to the great CC!! I need pictures of that truck soring over some rivers and creeks... kinda what you'd see the General Lee do in Dukes of Hazzard..

Not sure if you mean they never shipped from the factory with the guard or if Mopar never offered a guard. However they were available from Mopar and were installed on new XJ's (not 100% sure about the MJ). If you look threw the parts catalog's I have on GLXJ (http://www.greatlakesxj.com/tech.html) you'll see them listed. I don't have a pic of the pre '97 but here is one of the factory brushguards with the foglight option for the '97+. Thats pretty bada$$$$ right there,,,,, I want one of those on my 2wd,,,

Duck tape!! quack, quack........ It'd work for a lil while I guess,,, or you could just run without a speedo,, and keep the miles off of it!! My brother did that for about 3 year when he was in collage... Just let you know he got a good trade-in value.. lol,, such a crook....

Just took a gander of the same pictures,,,, thats crazy,, guess most of that stuff will be appearing on ebay soon... I'd have to go there the day before and wrench everything I could, and have it setting by for the next day,, of course I'd have a few mule f#%kers to help me carry all the stuff to the door!!!! lol

Torque spec's for valve cover bolts?
jtdesigns replied to layback209's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Does that gasket have metal inserts where the bolts go through?? If so I don't think you have to worry about torquing it down to much. The metal keeps you from crushing the gasket. -
I used a bead blaster on my cover.. That stuff was pretty thick, so you might have to dig alot of it out with a flat screwdriver.. Maybe let some gas soak in it for a few hours, or day.

I hope its not a exhaust leak on the manny..... that would just suck!! I got the Bosch O2 sensor, I hoping thats not wrong with it either....... I kinda want it to be a injector,, so I have a reason to get the new ones that Taz hooked up for us.. :brows: -
I'd say to take the throttle body off and clean it real good along with the Air Idle Control -AIC.
-
I just cleaned out my cowl not long ago,, I seem to think it went over to the drivers side to drain..

Tanks Wildman.. I haven't seen that page from those guys before.... I'll do the fuel pressure test. I hope its something simple!!! -
What all controls air fuel on renix?? Swapped my O2 still smells really rich, even after warm up.. Doesn't the block temp sender provide input to ecu to control air/fuel ratio? What else controls the mixture?? I havent checked to see if I have a leaking/sticking injector,, how would I know if one wasnt in specs?? Pull a spark plug?

I 80% agree with you... but I love corona with lime,, I can drink it without, but I love the lil chunks if lime you get with each gulp.. I like Bass too, and Irish Red,, you forgot one thats a fav too,, thats Samuel Adams.... I going to the one stop now..... brb...

You should try a Black Velvet... Its suppose to be made with champaign and Guinness, but I like them made with Hornsby's Dry Cider How to: 1:1 Cider or champaign poured slowly over the stout.. Very smooth and refreshing.... I'm a seasonal beer drinker.. Roiling Rock for spring Corona with lime and pulp for summer New Castle "The One and Only" as my fall brew Magic Hat "Jinx" for winter... ummmmm,,, I'm thirsty now...

My uncle had one a long time ago,,, I had a hamster at the time and I always thought it looked like my hamster.. It had a big butt.. (history tid-bit) the turbo muffler was invented for it.

You'll need the 97+ fenders too, or you will have a corner sticking out on the top.
