  1. I'll have an empty seat if anyone want's to do some "Mild" wheeling.....
  2. I amended my post.... just saw the 05 and 06 pow wow threads.
  3. It's definitely hard when dealing with a club that's membership encompass the globe. But even if we just take that down to the US and then split the country it's still a lot of area. I think if this gains traction in the long run it would be a good idea to split the eastern group as well. Even if we get 2 Members and 2 MJ's than it's gonna be a success..... wheeling with even one MJ is gotta be better than a dozen TJ's, JK's, LJ's and XJ's....... I wanna thank SW86 for pushing this forward and not getting discouraged....... stay the course brother and we will be wheeling together before you know it.
  4. Woot !!!!!!!!!!!!!
  5. I'm with ScottJeep.... I like the color.... and the bench seat.... well done.
  6. Got a little work done over the weekend…. Here’s a few pics of the progress.
  7. Startin' to look like I might get to make my first trip to Attica..... woot
  8. If we go in the spring we won't have to worry about shade.......
  9. or just camp on site.. So your saying you can camp in the park?
  10. My first Jeep was a 98 XJ with 252k on the odometer..... wheeled it hard, even drove it to Harlan KY, wheeled it hard, and drove it home (5 hour drive). It's been passed around since I sold it but ended back at my brothers house the other day.... now it's showing 265k.
  11. First thing I did when I got my 88 Chief was to swap it over to a 91 harness and motor...... the pile of vacuum lines and canisters I had left over was staggering. Nothing is simpler to work on than a HO harness and motor...... and in the woods or on a rock ledge nothing is more reliable. Nice thing about the 91 is it's a crossover year and most of your stuff will plug right in.... column, wiper motor.... ect. Swap in that 91 hardware and AW4, you'll have a long weekend in the job but you'll be glad you did it.
  12. I'm a sucker for a white MJ..... very nice....
  13. I'm definitely going to camp..... it's half the fun of going......
  14. Thanks man.... As bulky as it looks I can still move it around by myself. It has gotten much heavier though..... we have a big 2 day ride scheduled for October 24-25 in IVY so I gotta keep up the momentum.
  15. My Axle finally found its way home last night, now the only thing left is to throw it under the MJ so we can set the location for the UCA’s. Here are a few pics…..
  16. With the new front axle going in I decided it would be a good idea to remove the arms, trackbar and steering for cleaning, inspection and some much need rust protection. Also my new Trackbar bracket arrived and I immediately started carving on it to ensure it didn't limit my drop.
  17. X2................
  18. Finally got the beadlocks finished up and the rear of the truck back on the ground. I still have to get the front axle in but it’s nice to have at least half of it finished up.
  19. Put me on the list....
  20. So where do you guys get the lumber for these projects? Is this public, private or park land? Regardless it's awesome work you guys do, we should all commend your group for your hard work. 95 percent of the people in our sport take and never give back.... very few would put forth the effort..... nice work.
  21. Harlan in early May sounds like an awesome Idea.....
  22. Yea I get it.... prerunner beds are cool..... This is exactly the bed I intend to build when my bed is no longer functional.
  23. Holidays are tougher for most families.... my club always goes to Harlan in April every year to beat the crowd and get the trails to ourselves. Early spring, Late fall both are good for cabin availability as well as campground space. I agree with SW86 on the poll.... run it for about a week or so and let the members decide. Then all we need is a date and I can put it on my calender.
  24. I've spent hours looking at tube beds for MJ's and they either look really good or really bad. I have a pic somewhere of an S10 with tube bed but they skinned the sides with the bedsides from the original bed.... really looked good.
  25. Stock XJ door latch mounted on the inside of the bracket..... This was just after I put a coat of paint on them..... I'll post up pics of the latches when I get them on.
