I'm replacing my rear shocks is there anything special i need to do ? or do i just unbolt and pull them off?

there has to be somone here in the half million mile club?

to my knowledge there is nothing against having right hand drive. it is however a pain in the arse to drive one till you get used to it. rolls royce only made right hand drive till i believe the mid sixties so most of the classic RR's are RHD. i doubt it is titled as postal .....logically wouldnt a british postal vehicle be left hand drive?

i forgot about the agrijeep. i didnt know that there were no pygmys left...wow! how about of the (and i say this tounge -in-cheek) more commonly available jeeps

What is the hardest to find jeep? I would think it would be the original jeepster or the forward control (I'm 27 and have seen one FC in my life)

this has shady written all over it. 1. this is not a postal jeep it is a cherokee Export model (postal xjs were all base model not sports or countries or even limited which...btw the limited wasnt offered in 1995 in the US ) 2. it is set up for british mot specs not usa (for example the fender turn signal). 3. britian uses imperial miles which (correct me if I'm wrong ) varys a little with what we use so the speedo would likely be off albeit only a little. 4. why are they trying to sell it in the usa? our exchange rate sucks in comparison to pounds sterling. That is why a $5000 at best xj is going for 11k 5. Import taxes ...need i say more. you won't recieve the vehicle till its paid! stay far far away from this one.

i though in pa with calssic plates you have to get it inspected...but not pa registration? the amount of rust is amazing i feel so overwelmed sometimes but like pete said ... if it didnt need the work it wouldnt be so fun...at least it isnt my DD.

calipers started working but when we put it up on the rack there was a hole in the floor by the rocker that i didnt see and the rear shocks are shot. so no passing inspection today...darn! days like today i feel like i may have bitten off more that i can chew as a beginner with this truck but i guess it will come in time.

I'm going to get my calipers replaced and I'm gonna try to get him to inspect it too. i patched the holes in the bed with aluminum tape, got a set of explorer wheels and fresh tires and after tomarrow hopefully working brakes and and an inspected truck mish me luck ....Lord willing ill have a legal mj tomarrow.....I'm hoping beyond hope.

i hope they build the gladiator....as it sits (beef up the frame). the removable doors come in handy, and i think that they would sell them as they come off the car carriers. and then ...maybe a full size jeep pickup based on the HD ram with nostalgic sheetmetal harkening back to the rino nosed gladiator?

yeah pete, i went that route with the shifter on my wrangler....it didnt hold. i like the welding the bolt to the top idea. old jeeps are fun, old jeeps are fun, old jeeps are fun,old jeeps are fun i love my manche i guess i figured i would have a road legal truck very soon ...oh well it is a project. BTW the junkyard by my house closed and i am trying to find out what is going to happen to the comanche ... they have the title for it.

the gladiator isnt production...its a concept. a production would most likely have a heavy frame. i would love a pickup based on the liberty....that would essentially make it a manche!!! but no to darken the day here but diamler didnt think there was money to be made on a jeep pickup. Cerberus is even more of a money grubbing company that has a bad habit of selling off parts of companies it buys.....this means our beloved jeep could end up being owned by a foriegn company. thats why i see it as not likely.....but i hope I'm wrong

we officially got to work on the manche tonite...the wheels were rusted to the hubs and the one of the lugs required a breakerbar and my wifes uncle standing on it! I got some explorer wheels and tires for it and wow does it make a difference with the bigger wheels. i thought the truck needed pads in the front....no no it can't be that simple, the calipers are siezed! then i couldnt get the oil plug out ....then my brother in law and I tried to put on my new hammer shift knob and the threads snapped off... now what do i do ? it seems like this truck hates me ! i didnt think sitting would seize stuff like this !

aint happening...they won't do a jeep pickup it would kill the dakota....which isnt doing well anyway

its most likely a 360ci and is a pretty reliable engine with plenty of power ....it has been converted to fuel injection so i would find out who did it and base it on that.

The truck i spoke of is a j10 its on autotrader, and they want 8400 with 38k orig. but you should see this thing!
