  1. The transmission swap is easy, but just a minor pain due to the need to drill a hole in the firewall for the shifter cable if the engine is still installed.
  2. I just lost a bunch of money from my bank account seeing this bumper.
  3. Yes, I have an aftermarket Haltech ECU running my Comanche. Apparently.
  4. I just drove back to my parents' place because I was soaked and cold. Those JK Rubicon tires have absolutely no traction and basically are just skis in the rain.
  5. Haltech supports Jeep 4.0L, but only if you do not mind spending $2,500 for the ECU. That is what I used in my MJ.
  6. I pulled the entire gas tank 100% filled with gas to repair it. Then I poured DOT 3 brake fluid into the power steering reservoir.
  7. New plan: The Wrangler is going. :|
  8. I messaged Kryptronic that I will be in attendance to the party. I am absolutely towing the truck up. I just got the replacement part at 1PM and finished installing it a bit ago. I am waiting a few hours to make sure it does not leak before loading it all up. Though I am going to spend a lot of time at the show wiring up missing bits.
  9. The Comanche is going to be towed up. I can drive it around when I am there, but I am not driving for twelve hours being hot boxed without working air conditioning.
  10. The part I need to repair the gas tank does not arrive until Wednesday now.
  11. (Probably should make a post in the classifieds forum.) I could use one of those fancy plastic skids. $20?
  12. Blast the air conditioner or roll the windows down. I have to strip to bare feet when I drive mine.
  13. Yes, it is a LJ and it originally came with aftermarket chrome step bars. I just hit 200,000 miles this week.
  14. As much as I just wish to drive the MJ itself it absolutely gulps down gasoline.(93 octane!) So if I tow it you will be able to find me easily.
  15. So, the differential shop was a flop on Wednesday. I showed up at the scheduled early morning appointment and the owner was missing. I did get to test towing it though. An idea of how much wire had to be removed to shorten the power accessory harness. Finally... a spray in bed liner!
  16. It is all small one person tasks except for that roll bar. I didn't realize how much of a puzzle it is to lift and sink into the bed under the rails.
  17. Holding 200ºF on the temperature gauge after the heater core replacement!(Night time, so not stressed yet.) No more wires in the driver's foot well anymore either. The passenger foot well is another story since I routed the power accessory harness better there is extra that needs to be trimmed. I have a batch of Molex connector pins arriving today so I can do that. Now it is all loaded up on the tow dolly behind The Hulk to take to the differential shop in the morning to get a limited slip installed. Scheduled to get the bedliner done at Line-X on Friday and Monday is air conditioning at a shop next to my work place.
  18. Holding 200ºF on the temperature gauge after the heater core replacement! No more wires in the driver's foot well anymore either. Loaded up on the tow dolly to take to the differential shop in the morning to get a limited slip installed.
  19. I am working on it...
  20. I stopped by Addicted Performance two weeks ago and now it drives pretty damn well with the smaller throttle body. I still have a lot to do before the upcoming show. Rear End Clang Gas Tank Leak Fuel Level Sensor Finish Interior Right Door Switch Hide Haltech Fuse Box Speedometer Sensor Loose Wire (Intermittent) Clean Windows Roll Bar Roll Bar Brackets Powder Coating Roll Bar/Bumper Bar Lights Bedliner Touch Up Undercoating Air Conditioning
  21. It is a 3.5 hour trip if you do the speed limit.
  22. I will take a set of roll bar brackets if you have one available. I tried to repair the ones I got with my roll bar and it is just not worth it.
  23. I will be there with my MJ and TheDude's box of stuff.

Yep, you have the 1996 bastard year CPS connector. I had to get one from the dealership to match and it actually ended up being cheaper than aftermarket.(About fifteen years ago.)
