Great buy! Now I need to go to "page 10 on the never ending story (mary jane)'s build thread" to fill myself in on the story

Just got through 12 pages of mary jane - she got pretty beat up. I did see that the 86 header bolts were in different spots than the 87+ years - good to know.

update

swapping out tires, and brakes

brake parts

old brake pads

uhh ohh, the bearing/hub style is different

off comes the hub cap

then the rotors

made a trip into town, because apparently they had some rotors, turns out, its the rotors in the 2nd picture o_O

so i threw the new brake pads on, checked the bearings, and re-assembled the brake's

new rubber :brows:

now I'm that much more street legal, all i need now is my windshield replaced

It is brake, not break.

I am not ragging on you at all. I am trying to keep you from looking foolish.

If his old ones were actually broken (as in not working correctly) then he wouldn't be as wrong. Never mind, it bugged me too.

so much for an anti build thread :rotf:

got around to flipping the grill right side up,

threw a 10 slot in there

removed the failed oxygen sensor.

the tools

the old sensor (2.5L) vs a good sensor (4.0L)

but they were in compatible, so i had to go out and buy a new one,

~$105 later... new sensor

old sensor vs new sensor.

installed.

more to come. jamminz.gif

That J10 is a 3/4 ton J20. The D44HD front and matching D60 rear are good swap material even if the front is a pre-'80 pass. side drop. They are not as wide as most trucks. Swap a D300 x-fer onto the back of a 4x4 AW4, stick those axles on... :wrench:

I like the new mirrors. I see that swap in my future. Was it hard?

I need to persuade you to cut off a pass side cab corner off of one of those rust-free jumkers and ship it to Ohio for cheap... :D

well it folded like a taco XD

out comes the parts truck

the good the bad the ugly

half way installed

all done :jump:

more to come
