Good to hear. I was a little worried but I think I will have plenty of extra metal from the passenger pan to fill it all. Any suggestions on best way to fix the underside and prevent it rusting again?

Pans are done. Interior is back in. All that remains to put her on the road is a new windshield and a little time spent understating floors. I'm so excited is dumb.

Back on topic.

Friday at lunch I lost a drivers front wheel. Always recheck you aluminum wheel lug nuts. It ate a wheel (already have an extra) and a hub bearing. Decided to change the axle ujoint while I was right there. Then I found this.

So now I am waiting on a new shaft and bearing to arrive along with a valve cover gasket and some ac parts. The new ujoint is pressed into the inner shaft ready for the new outer to arrive. I got the tire swapped off the damaged rim and onto the spare and rotated the tires. Next I think I'm gonna start on some suspension work.39b0f8d54d637b53324f095a066302c6.jpg

Ugh. Recived wrong shaft yesterday (my fault for not xhecking u joint size). Also got my new hub bearing, valve cover gasket, sway bar links, and AC oring set. Still waiting on the reciever drier. Gonna see if I can source a used stub shaft locally and hopefully get her back on the road this weekend.

As usual I forgot any pics....

New shocks all the way around, sway bar links, steering stabilizer, drilled out and replaced broken ujoint strap bolt in the front driveshaft. Installed some new to me window seals on the vent window frames.

Doesnt sound like much but took me most of the day yesterday.

Still have some gaskets and seals to change but they get to wait till the next oil change.

Every little bit makes it ride and drive a little better. Its all starting to add up. I think it now is better on the road than my dads 08 chebby Colorado. Lol.

LONG LIVE THE 'MANCHE!!!!

New stereo installed (my mj has blue tooth) and had been enjoying it with issues. Anytime I could get the sound to work, accomplished by repeatedly opening and closing my door, the dome lights would light. I solved this issue traced to a mix up of wires when I replaced the connector behind the drivers kick panel. After a couple hours of head scratching and wire probing I finally found it. Now my dome lights are all fuctioning correctly also.

Ended up with a pioneer MVH-X390BT.

Really pleased with it after using it a bit.

Just finished the solid axle swap in the front with the CV shafts. Found out my passenger unit bearing was shot so I replaced it. Used national seal #471763 for the passenger side seal. Worked great.
Also changed the frint crank seal trying to stop the leaks. Looking like a pan gasket and rear main seal are in the future.

Added a dash cam also. It was a christmas gift but kinda like the peace of mind added should something happen on the road.

The evolution continues.

I have decided tho proceed with my original plan and swap in am aw4. I know I know 5spd or die. But momma says she won't pull the boat with the manual. She doesnt trust herself enough to not back the truck and all in the water. Plus I think I got spoiled with my GMC.

So today I recieved a start on the auto swap. Which I hope will also include adding cruise control.

Thank you Blaine.D

With help from a buddy in the way of motivation I have been yard picking alot here recently. The results are everything for a full power door conversion, a manual regulator to fix my stripped one. A complete header panel with all good trim pieces, a tailgate, a bumper, a set of tail lights, and a few other small parts. Pics will be coming tomorrow.

Grill and trim painted and installed.

And bumper mocked up to test fit. The PO hacked the brackets and welded on the crappy tube bumper. So I am having to custom make brackets to get it mounted. 659579ea12e4ac5eb0d5bf5253c12921.jpg8fccf1d3eaf17a74517f070b8c987708.jpg

oh boy oh boy I am super excited.  Apparently all I had to do was buy the wife a pop up camper.  I got the approval and ordered a set of General Spring Military Wrap springs.  New ford f 150 shackles.  RE 3.5" front springs. New front spring isolators.  Just waiting on the parts to arrive.  I might have slipped in a few other goodies too......

Shocks are on and we took the (new to us) popup on its maiden voyage outside the yard. Spent the weekend at a local campground. My pulled it great. Looking forward to longer and more adventures trips with our new little abode. dbd014c162eeadc999dac6a9c42cb9bc.jpg

why are the photos all weird?  are you uploading the pics here to the CC or a 3rd party site?

I bet it pulls like a dream!  I've never pulled  camper where I could still make use of the inside rear mirror. :D

Uploading to cc. It might be my phone camera. It has a wide view lense that sometimes distorts pictures.

I have only pulled it on the road once so far, returning home from the maiden voyage. My buddy pulled it to the campground since I was still waiting on shocks to arrive. The manche really handles it well. Vision around it is a different story. It is wider than the MJ negating the effectiveness of side mirrors and the AC unit on top blocks my inside mirror. Guess I'll begin the hunt for a set of factory tow mirrors and an additional backup cam for rearview.

We are loving the camper so far. We have done alot of backyard camping already and a trip to the campgrounds last week. I think by the end of summer we will be fearless nomads roaming the country side with the mj and the Chuck wagon (thats the campers name).

the address says you've uploaded them to tapatalk.  I think that might be the issue.
