33's with a 3-3.5" lift?

Recommended Posts

Wasn't there someone on here that managed 34's? under their XJ at stock height and a bit of trimming?

i hope a bit ot trimming means fully cut the crap out of his rear wheel wells. must have been a two door cuz no way are you getting 34s under a stock 4door

I'm running 33x10.5's on 15x7 with 4" of backspacing with 3" of lift and cut fenders and flares on my rusty DD.

Here's a pic

Here are some old pics of my '95 flexed with 33x10.5 with 3.5" of lift with 11" travel shocks, and cut / raised flares. I could steer from lock to lock when flexed without any rubbing.

It still has a fender inner liners

37" tires will fit the rear if you cut the fenders like this. Thats the same 33" tires shown above.

Thats funny right there

Yeah that was the stock family wheeler RIP some guy need a motor for his XJ more than I need the XJ so she went down the road. But o well more time for the MJ.

The front fender well as you can see what’s lift of them. That’s because the darn thing would not come off and the bottom of one side was not bolted to the bottom of the body and the front of the finder was not there so that explains the chop job up front and the rear will it need to happen soon or later. My plans where in the end to find a pair of baby swamper and let the wife wheel the crap out of it stock. Hec with that much wheel well opening I think it could of would have been a blast to beat on and that video of the guys beating the crap out of on XJ would of looked like a day at the park when I got done with that Jeep. And I am not saying I would go out and be plain dumb with it but I would of got the use out of it.

Sorry for the hijack back to your trimming fenders I my self would say go 31’s and play it safe the guy I just sold 88 MJ to has 31x10.5 stock and no fender trimming and it does look great. And the wife’s MJ has 3” of lift and 31’s on it and it just look great so there is the real input go 31’s or even 32’s.

Here is a pic of the wife’s truck on 31’s 3” of lift. O yeah one more thing it is 2wd.

backspace the wheels less than stock for 12.5" to clearance the rear framerails and front control arms when turning, which means they won't tuck inside the fenders when stuffed. 10.5's will fit on stock wheels (5.25" backspacing) but 12.5's won't.
