hgeranium Posted yesterday at 04:18 AM Share Posted yesterday at 04:18 AM Just a few questions about the B pillar courtesy lights that I'll just throw into one thread. 1. How do the assemblies come apart from the B Pillar? Do they just pull/pry out with enough force or does the trim need to come off? 1a. How does the lens itself detach from the assembly? My driver side light works but sometimes needs to be jiggled into the right position to turn on. I want to be able to safely take out the lens to clean the contact points and swap an LED without breaking anything. 2. I have my driver side light in working condition, but my passenger side has the assembly in the pillar, but no lens at all. Are the lenses something that can even be sourced and replaced? Or are the lenses a part of the assembly? I have the Euramtec part # so if I need to replace both sides to keep them matching, so be it, but I'd like to keep the OEM parts if possible. fiatslug87 Posted yesterday at 04:35 AM Share Posted yesterday at 04:35 AM 1- remove the panel, if you pry the attachment tabs will probably break, see pic 1. 1a- it looks like there may be pins that it slides into, however with 30+ year old parts I wouldn’t try it. You can clean the contacts from the back. see pics 2 & 3. 2- keep checking eBay, lights come up occasionally also ask in the classifieds, but again the plastic is brittle after 30 years. Exactly what I needed! Thank you once again
Pete M Posted yesterday at 11:54 AM Share Posted yesterday at 11:54 AM normally I'm all for keeping things factory, but the Euramtec lights look the part and are infinitely superior in functionality.
TheNerfsmith Posted yesterday at 02:16 PM Share Posted yesterday at 02:16 PM On the topic of the Euramtec lights has anyone figured out what the bulb is? For example, if it’s a certain size or type? I’m looking into getting them when I get around to my interior and want to put a LED bulb in them.

That makes me feel better about them in that case. I would just miss the OEM chrome bezel, but I guess I can DIYify the Euramtecs.. Thank you, Pete! Ωhm
Euramtecs switch function is different than the factory swtich. Minor but different. Factory switch is (Switched-OFF-ON). Euramtecs switch is (ON-AUTO(Switched)-ON)).

garyweb3
My tabs were broken. I just used a bead of silicon around the perimeter of the light and stuck it to the panel. You can still remove it if needed by sliding a utility knife around the edge.
