I have an oil leak around the drain plug ever since the service guy decided to use an air gun to put the plug back in. I tried putting a new plug in and it is still leaking. Can I get some high temp RV sealant and put it around the plug once its in and tight? Because the plug is already in and tight the sealant shouldnt get into the oil pan.

You can also go to a chain store like NAPA and get a slightly oversized replacement plug. You will need to take the old plug with you.

The problem is every time i try something else it costs me 6 quarts of oil  I will check those out thanks. The plug I used this time has a bigger(wider) top and it didnt help

Really sounds like your "Service guy" owes you a new oil pan.

Who would be stupid enough to use a air wrench on the oil plug

As Johngus wrote, they do make a over size oil plug that cuts new threads as in goes on.

Your "Service guy" blew out the treads on the oil pan using his air wrench :shake:

just goto the hardware store and pick you up a roll of plumbers thread tape, (white ribbon), only about a buck.. remember to wrap in the same direction as the threads.. so when you tighten the plug the tape will tighten.

This happened before i got the truck so I can't do anything with the service place. I will try the donut gaskets and the pipe tape. If they don't work I will go with the new pan.
