Heath
Thanks! I'm assuming there is a reference I can use to cross-reference the codes in the column...?
Pete M
what is it that you mean by "cross reference"?

They’re just production codes that Chrysler uses for different options and equipment. I wouldn’t look to hard into this as Chrysler changed what codes refer to. Say the 2.5L is one code but Chrysler reused that code for their 2.4L. I wouldn’t sweat the translations.
Pete M
for example, JJA means you got the cig lighter in the truck. your full build sheet is way bigger than you see. the older trucks are missing a lot of info in the Chrysler compters. check out a 91 or 92 truck to see what it should look like. Heath
From these codes, how can I tell what the original engine, transmission, axles, etc.? A previous owner made some changes, and I'm not sure what's original... Right now, it's a good running 4 cylinder, 4 wheel drive, 4 speed manual. Thanks. Eagle_SX4
Each number/letter in the vin has a meaning. They are laid out in the factory service manual. This should help.

JMO413
That's the build sheet from the parts catalog. It started life as a four cylinder with a four speed.
Eagle_SX4
@Heath 5th digit is "s" which means originally was 4 speed 2 wheel drive. It has been swapped to 4x4.
