Got a bunch of stuff recently. New battery cables installed with a sick nasty relay cover. New air filter and got a arb air compressor for it. Sadly that won't be installed for a while cause I went out and shot my self in the foot by accident 🤦

Oil change done again... went to a wix filter and 15w40 to stop leaks lol.  Also did fuel filter spark plugs and cleaned up the cap and rotor. Turns out everything leaks so bad on this motor that I even get oil in the dizzy:confused: first time for everything I suppose though.

Being you have an 87 there was a TSB for this issue.

It is covered by I.S. Note 34E. In short if your distributor is leaking from the vent hole ("A" in Fig. 1) you should replace your distributor.1354019634_IMG_20251026_1812330492.jpg.34b24afcddd797ea5855ab9fc33e21a8.jpg

Its just a dorman catch can from autozone or any local parts store kr was expensive but thats the price I pay when I'm impatient and hate ordering online lol.  Of course I deleted the ballast resistor and used that spot to bolt it up and bent the bracket around the body right there. Also moved the egr thing over to the ground off the harness

That’s a great idea to put it where the ballast resistor is. Ive fully removed both that and my EGR solenoid so that makes sense

Did you fully delete your egr?

I don’t have it hooked up but the EGR valve itself is still there with a vacuum cap on it. The vacuum lines on the intake manifold stacked I just have routed to each other with a short C shape hose. I want to delete the whole valve at some point but I’m not in a position to make a block-off plate right now

Did you test the voltage and align the TPS when installing?

I tried too used a pair of the needle probes on the multi meter but couldn't get a good reading on it i had it hit 82 on the meter so I shut the truck off ame tighten it down there.

Brand new dizzy, iac, tps, map sensor/cruiser map sensor mod and c101c delete andddd its still stuttering. It does seem the new map sensor made it worse so I'm gonna throw the old one back in tommrow. No clue what could be really causing this anyone have any ideas?

Still got a terrible power surge but today I cleaned up all my wires on the c101c delete and checked the fuel injection harness jt looked fine. Re did the injector and sensor grounds and added a ground too each that goes to the map sensor bolt holes. I think my next step in solving this issue will be testing the coil and cps and possibly the ignition control module. can't wait to get rid of the 4.0 at this point.

New Bosch fuel pump and lock ring/o ring which hopefully is the end to my stuttering issue basically everything electrical is new now besides the coil, ignition module and cps. Of course my slave cylinder decided to die before I could even make it run right so ordering parts for a ax15 swap tonight
