Confedneck Posted January 7, 2008 Posted January 7, 2008 i need a whole replacement floorboard for the passenger side of my MJ, where can i get one? i need it to do the WHOLE side, not just the foot well
jeepdoggydogB Posted January 7, 2008 Posted January 7, 2008 The only place I have ever heard of making such parts is http://store.shermanparts.com/cgi-bin/s ... mg_num=075 But last I read they confuse Cherokee parts with Comanche parts so I wouldn't recommend them unless you where certain those floorboards are for an MJ.
WahooSteeler Posted January 8, 2008 Posted January 8, 2008 Wow This is great find! But the XJ/MJ floorpans should be the same anyway, correct?
jeepdoggydogB Posted January 8, 2008 Posted January 8, 2008 Wow This is great find! But the XJ/MJ floorpans should be the same anyway, correct? I don't think they are, perhaps the more knowledeable folks can confirm. (I am pretty sure Pete or Eagle know
Pete M Posted January 8, 2008 Posted January 8, 2008 Not the same. :( A Cherokee pan will take some considerable massaging to fit in a Comanche. The trans tunnel areas are very different.
WahooSteeler Posted January 8, 2008 Posted January 8, 2008 Hmmm, well I can see where Sherman might send you the wrong item because they list both 84-96 Cherokee XJ series and 86-92 Comanche "XJ" series. I'd say a quick phone call to make sure they carry both products clarify. Confed, if you pursue these w/Sherman, keep us posted. I need to replace my pass floorpan soon. Thanks...........
Limeyjeeper Posted January 8, 2008 Posted January 8, 2008 I used them to fix the floors in my MJ. They are pretty close but will need some tweaking. They only go from the cross brace forward. They are not so bad that a hammer can't get the panels to fit pretty well. Their rockers are a whole other story. Major surgery required.
Pete M Posted January 8, 2008 Posted January 8, 2008 i need under the seat too That's where the XJ and MJ are very different.
Confedneck Posted January 9, 2008 Author Posted January 9, 2008 guess I'm just gonna buy steel and make it flat and leave the seat out, i don't like most people enough for them to ride with me anyways lol
