Repair old broken plastic

Thought this might solve what to do about broken off plastic dashboard and other parts

Seems interesting. I’d bet it smells like cigarette though.

I’ve seen someone use crazy glue and baking soda.

Super glue and baking soda creates an instant hardener. Which is nice for when you want it to dry fast.

The mounts for the tan inner door trim on my comanche were broken off, making the screws just spin in place.

I actually repaired these inner broken plastic mounts with old laptop keyboard caps. Any ABS will do, but that was the easiest thing I had around. A soldering iron and abs works a treat. It smells a bit, so do it outside and with a mask. I have some photos on my other computer.
