Oil filter adapter O-ring to seal bolt head to the adpater?

Does anyone know the part number for this oring. I’ve got the felpro kit and the doorman adapter master kit with zero luck.

Two of these from Napa does the trick for my 91 and 88. Plus there’s one in there that works really good for the distributor too

The OPs oring has basically failed. It should be round like the one in WranglerMangler's post. Just don't know if the op realizes it or the ones in the FELPRO kit he has are failing to seal.

Mine was like that, too. Hardened and flattened.

I know they are failed, that is why I went through the trouble of replacing them.  I ordered the specified FelPro kit but it did not have this O-RIng in the kit.  I ordered the Doorman kit as well that supposedly had the correct O-RIng and it did not.  I have ordered a single O-RIng and I am waiting for it to arrive, in the meantime I replaced all other O-RIngs that did come in the Felpro kit and put it back together.  At least this one is fairly easy to get to so I will replace it when it arrives next week.  All the O-RIngs in the system looked like this lol, flat, hard, and brittle!

Yes, replacing the OFA O-rings is one of those things that needs to be done occasionally on the legendary Jeep 4.0. Thankfully it's a relatively easy and inexpensive job.  

I ran into an issue where it seemed like the OFA I was using required a different sized o-ring than came in the kits.  I was swapping to a different adapter, and it came from a core engine on a pallet, so no idea what year it was.  It's been so long ago, that I don't remember the details, and I didn't keep notes at the time.

Even though mine is an HO, mine was definitely a mix of Renix and HO o-rings. Not really surprising, though. Best thing is to hit up a local store that sells o-rings by size and and grab one of each size. They're noticeably different between HO and Renix years.

I had this exact same thing happen to me too. Frustrating. And even the picture I posted requires 2 kits to complete the repair. But bonus distributor O ring included. Kits are under $5ea. Just throw all the extra O rings in the spare O ring bin for future use.

That is what I ended up doing, just purchased a few extra and put them in a container for later haha
