Window trim question

It slides over.  I used the rubber coated handle of a pair of pliers I owned to protect the top edge of it then a small hammer to knock it in place.  They should be a tight fit.

When you say slides over you mean the sheet metal slides up in the trim?

Here’s some pictures it’s slightly different on the 97-01 as pictured but the same basic design except the bottom peice on the old style is held on with metal clips and is 2 peice where the new is just one

I just received and installed a new set of window felt beltline weatherstrips from Steele Rubber Products on my 87 Comanche. 4pcs inside and out. Looks and fits like OEM in case anybody is looking to replace theirs. About $100 w/tax and shipping.
