LowerEnder
Hello From Arkansas. I have alot of questions. 1st is if this site is still operational? Second is I believe my coffee 88 has been here before by PO. ?? I would like to learn the ways of the comanche gods. White 88 is a 4.0l renix 🤔 not sure how I feel about these engines. Coffee 88 is a 2.5l.
The86manche
This site is still going haha welcome. You should try putting the vins in the search bar and see what comes up in the relevant catagories
89 MJ
Hello and welcome!  To answer your questions: Yes! This site is still operational and is quite active. Your coffee colored one was owned by @Jeep Driver I do believe. Here is the build thread on it:  The Renix 4.0 is just fine, just maintain it and get a REM (Renix Engine Monitor) and you will be just fine. LowerEnder
Well I'm glad it's still going. As I'm new and don't know what to do. Lol I'm still trying to learn my way throughout the site.
89 MJ
It will come with time. Once you get the hang of it, I'm sure you will find its fairly simple to navigate.
LowerEnder
Yes sir that's him. He did amazing work. The renix has been a nightmare for me. I'm no mechanic by no means but, renix I had no idea. I could be so foul mouthed.
89 MJ
Renix can be tricky at times, but when they're sorted, they are fantastic. These Renix engine monitors (standard model here:Â https://nickintimedesign.com/product/renix-engine-monitor-ii/Â or clock panel replacement version here:Â https://nickintimedesign.com/product/rem-clock-panel-v4/) give a readout of what your Renix system is doing in real time. It's almost like an OBDII scanner for newer vehicles, if you are familiar with those. Otherwise, feel free to drop your questions in the Modifications and Repairs subforum and people will be along to help out. Edited October 28, 2022 by 89 MJ Didn't include clock panel REM link
LowerEnder
So the white one I got had been sitting for a while. I've seen a few tips. I started working towards some mentioned from Pete Cruiser and a few other guys. (Silently watching 👀) I think It has a burnt valve? Maybe carbon build up? I have a 4.0l HO with transmission, transfer case, wiring harness, and computer with 50k on it. Is that a hard swap?
89 MJ
That would be a much better question for tech, since not a lot of people are checking out the build threads every day. The swap would be tricky, but doable. You could also just swap the engine and use the Renix system. Basically just swapping in the long block. That is what I did in my truck. Here is my write up on that: Â

Someone with an engine host could probably do it in a weekend.   10 minutes ago, LowerEnder said: Also I think I posted in there not sure if I got the right place. I appreciate yalls help so far.
