88swampedmj Posted December 5, 2007 Posted December 5, 2007 i was wondering how big a 6.7L deisel is compared to my 4.0 I6? its kinda funny but could a dodge cummins 6.7L fit?
Oizarod115 Posted December 5, 2007 Posted December 5, 2007 the engine weighs 1190lbs with oil in it... ;) so i'm pretty sure that's out of the question.
DirtyComanche Posted December 5, 2007 Posted December 5, 2007 Is the 6.7 physically bigger than the 5.9? I've seen a 5.9 (12v) in a YJ. It'd be a hard swap though.
feerocknok Posted December 5, 2007 Posted December 5, 2007 How attached are you to having a radiator? Or grill, for that matter.
Car RamRod Posted December 5, 2007 Posted December 5, 2007 How attached are you to having a radiator?Or grill, for that matter. or your rear tires on the ground.
88swampedmj Posted December 7, 2007 Author Posted December 7, 2007 lol just a thought.. i figured it would be a monster
ComancheKid45 Posted December 7, 2007 Posted December 7, 2007 Stay away from the 6.7.......So far theyve been nothing but trouble in my Dealership, 2 much Emissions crap happening
FxRacing282 Posted December 7, 2007 Posted December 7, 2007 with some fire wall and rad suppurt mods it could be done. you would have to beef up the frame sus. steering shocks, and the motor would be sticking out of the hood as its deeper. it would be cool
