Squilly
I want to put the 97+ dash in my truck, but I don’t want to convert to OBD ll. Has anyone done this or know a way to retain the Renix engine management and gauges while swapping the interior? I thought about using a custom gauge cluster in a blank template that fits the newer dash, but I wasn’t sure which gauges work with Renix. ideally I just want to update the interior and allow the ability to run a double din radio with the already existing center dash swap that’s out there. Any ideas would be helpful!
jdog
You could always move the heater switch to the radio slot and put the double din below. I have not heard of people using just the dash, it's usually a full swap but I bet it could be done. But it will probably take some custom gauges. boxyjeep
Honestly better off doing the complete swap. You can use the TJ gauge surround for aftermarket gauges and keep Renix, but you will end up splicing a ton for light controls, HVAC, etc. and in the end be better off just doing a direct swap. oldmanche
If all you want is a double din radio, I've seen a members here do that.
