1988comanche Posted August 28, 2021 Posted August 28, 2021 So I know this is an Odd request, but I need the rear diff gears for a Dana 35. Yes LATER on I will switch to probably a Ford 8.8 or something lol but right now I need Dana 35 spider gears for the rear
Pete M Posted August 28, 2021 Posted August 28, 2021 are the pre-C-clip years different than the C-clip years?
FrankTheDog Posted August 29, 2021 Posted August 29, 2021 I think they are, there is also a difference in the c clip rears, somewheres in the years 93-95 they changed.

Jeeper1093 Posted August 30, 2021 Posted August 30, 2021 I am parting out an 87 with a Dana 35. I can pull the spider gears if they will work for you. Unless someone wants the complete axle.

You’ll need parts from a 1989 or earlier axle then. The non c clip style axle can use 4340 chromo steel shafts that even the 8.8 can’t use because of the c clip design. A set of 30 spline 4340 axle shaft, 30 spline arb (installed correctly) and a tnt truss with a Spicer HD cover and you’ve got one stout little axle. Chryo treat you R&P and you’ve got an axle that can handle 35’s all day long with more clearance than the 8.8 can dream of. Just a thought
