NHMJXJ
I keep hearing dialog on talk radio and seeing articles about used car values. This article picques. $17K for a 1998 Tacoma standard shift purchased for resale! https://www.motor1.com/news/528644/old-toyota-tacoma-dealer-fight/ World Gone Mad: Dealers Fight Over 23-year-Old Tacoma With Manual
eaglescout526
I believe it and it’s about time humanity starts looking at the value of old cars. Plus no car manufacture can get some sort of chip for some module on the vehicle to make them work. Goes to show that there’s too much technology to make some wheels spin. fiatslug87
Yup, the trade in value of our 2014 Toyota FJ Cruiser is more than what we paid for it, and it has 60K miles.

And you guys make fun of the guy who wants to use a carburetor and conventional distributor.
gogmorgo
Yeah it’s pretty dumb. I went car shopping with a roommate not long ago, and all the 2-3 year old cars on dealer lots were barely marked down from new prices, and the condition most of them were in, looked like 20-year-old work trucks. frankly I’d be embarrassed to be showing cars like that for sale… but people are still buying them. Almost no used trucks at the city dealers either, one of the salesmen said they were all getting scooped as soon as they hit the lots, to be hauled south and resold in the States. It boggles the mind.
