500 MJ
Looking to buy a couple nice quality, long lived, snatch blocks for an upcoming project and then cascade them into the towing/recovery equipment bag for the Jeep. Any recommendations?
derf
I haven't used mine much so I can't comment on durability. But I like to over buy on stuff like that. Get the heavier duty ones. They can usually accommodate thicker winch cable and they hold up better to abuse.

MiNi Beast
Look at the new snatch rings. Work with rope or cable and they like work. 👍

Also seems a bit cumbersome with tying knots all the time. I like knots, I just prefer the ease of shackles and clevises, especially when loading them up with big loads. MiNi Beast
Soft shackles better then d rings. I have a few smaller snatches for cable, something simple you can find at your local farm store. They have been used for a few recoveries as well. can't go wrong with having few different sizes laying around and I can see you plan to buy quality for the long use of it. I havent had any complaints with my steel ones. can't say id shell out 200+ for one particular one. Would it be worth it...surely. can you justify it, then its worth it. Nicer one's have less friction and bearings on some and those be real nice. Id just search amazon for something that looks legit and expect it to work. Tossing around logs i would think steel cheap ones would work good with a nice atv winch. Pull them logs right on up on the platform. I was looking at these Arb knockoff snatch block ones and it even comes with a tree strap.
