For reliable power, you can’t go wrong with modern, I’ll give ya that.

I think a 6.1 or 392 hemi without the supercharger would be a better choice.

Also, I think the modern engine swaps might get better MPG. A bit more of justification. As long as it gets some of the older stuff running and not rotting out in a field.
