C1111toro
Hello everyone. I was wondering if anyone has a photo of a bone stock exhaust setup on an 88 4.0. I bought my truck with no resonator or catalytic converter installed. I recently pick up a Thrush muffler to let it breathe a little easier and now I would like to cut down on the cabin noise. My question is did the 88 have a Catalytic Converter or a resonator from the factory? I'm trying to get my truck to the factory setup. Thanks, Chris
C1111toro
I ordered a Walker 15634 Catalytic converter from Amazon and was wondering if anyone had a Stock setup photo to compare.

ghetdjc320
Not sure if you have to get your emissions system inspected and it has to be 100% stock. If not, grab an aftermarket magnaflow spun stainless cat. works great and very economical. Your 88 came with a cat and it looks just like the one you posted
C1111toro
I picked up the walker replacement cat and it seems just fine.
SVPete
That is exactly the same make and part number that I replaced my cat with. Fitment was no problem. I also replaced my front pipe, muffler and tailpipe at the same time. Did the entire exhaust.
