would a screamin' eagle decal on the hood be too much?

I want to get a custom one made for the car when I paint it. The car from the factory was a little over the top, so what’s a big screamin’ Eagle?

Keep it AMC put a golden eagle on the hood.

I would love too, but I’ve only found the brown ones. Ideally, I’d get one custom made with a maroon head and tail and a silver body.

I figured something custom would be necessary. Wouldnt have guessed the originals were available. Maroon and silver would look good on the car. And still pay some homeage to its roots.

That it would. I’ll have to talk to a couple of local vinyl guys and see what they can do.

Reasons why the Eagle is superior. I wish Chrysler wasn’t so dumb and just straight up dropped AMC. Like Chrysler could’ve done the Eagle to compete with the outback and what not but nope! And those are great

I really wish they would have kept AMC too. I do get why they axed it though. The Eagle would have needed a major refresh and they probably would have wrecked it anyways.

Didnt fit with the brand and Chrysler was short sighted at the time and didnt expect Subraru to come and take the market.

Finally something slightly productive. I replaced the wiper blades and painted the wiper arms. The wiper arms I believe are off of a ZJ or WJ. They are the same length, but have a J-hook which is nice.

We also tracked down the misfire. Turns out, it had some really old Champion spark plugs in it. 3 of them were only finger tight, so that was perfect. We are getting closer to having a driveable car.
It ran plenty rich at some point in its past.

Finally got the front of the car lifted. We still need to do an alignment and it does need some trimming. The car was hit in the front and the fenders have slight buckles under the flares, so I’m not shopping pristine fenders here.

That’s a great ad!

I’ve been daily driving this car for about 10 days now. The car was towed in 3”, but once we fixed that, it goes down the road great. We are also getting about 16mpg and that is with a lot of idle time tuning the carb.
