A Likely Rare MJ

87 Sportruck, 4 banger, auto ON THE COLUMN! I see it has overdrive along with the power/comfort switch. Does it add value? Probably not. Is it weird and probably rare? Yeah, I'd think so. I also dig the color.

I'd say a 2.5 auto on the floor would be way more uncommon because that was usually reserved for nicer option packages.

All base model autos where on the column.

Interesting. I always assumed that the floor shifter would have been standard equipment, but you could delete it for a credit and get the column shift.

yeah as far as I know on the column was on all the bases until 91 92

Truck looks to have been repainted at some point. Note the Comanche badges at the body line. Some people are so damn lazy at making these things right.

He says it was. It was white originally.

I had one just like it in gray 13 years ago. I never had it on the road but it was in decent shape. They came with 4.56 gears.

I test drove it a while ago, just seeing the posting now. 

 

Lots of rust , I couldn't bring myself to buy it at the asking price.   I got a different Comanche listed about the same time instead.
