Muncher Posted February 21, 2021 Posted February 21, 2021 So I have the tow mirrors on my truck and the more I've just been looking at them and driving the truck around the house a little they kinda suck. What have people done besides new doors or body work to fill the holes? I would do one of those options but the doors just got re done. I thought maybe jusy some carriage bolts to fill the holes for a while. Let me know what you guys have done
Muncher Posted February 21, 2021 Author Posted February 21, 2021 On some trucks yea but the way I'm going with mine thwy look a little goofy
Pete M Posted February 21, 2021 Posted February 21, 2021 there are threaded bolts inside the door on the support bracket. seems like it'd be easy to just thread in some bolts. but I agree with Jesse. I wish my trucks had the tow mirrors. but also, all of the factory mirrors kinda suck. I wouldn't get too dedicated to permanently removing yours until you try out the alternatives.
Jesse J Posted February 21, 2021 Posted February 21, 2021 Just now, Pete M said: but I agree with Jesse. I wish my trucks had the tow mirrors. fixed that for ya. I don't think they look goofy personally
BeatCJ Posted February 21, 2021 Posted February 21, 2021 If you decide to get rid of them, let me know. I doubt you will be happy with anything other than plugging the holes right. If you do it soon enough, your paint will be easy enough to match, but red fades quickly.
Pete M Posted February 21, 2021 Posted February 21, 2021 I can't type or spell or spellcheck to save my life.
eaglescout526 Posted February 21, 2021 Posted February 21, 2021 Despite looking goofy, they actually look hell of a lot better than the Renault flag type option you could get as a lower end mirror vs mirror delete.
Muncher Posted February 21, 2021 Author Posted February 21, 2021 That's true. I might still see about maybe having them painted black and I think it'd look better. Because I'm just trying to get rid of the chrome
