I recommend the White Rim Road in Canyon Lands National Park just outside Moab, UT.  One hundred miles of stunning landscape.

Quick tip on insurance. Currently, my truck does not have a stated value on it and we take the road insurance off of it for the winter. Getting a stated value on it though will reduce the overall yearly insurance, get better insurance on it, but I won't be able to take insurance off of it. You may want to look into getting a stated value-especially when you paint it, that way, if something happens to it, you will get more for it.

I have done the research so I can get mine appraised (do this too, that way you can argue for a higher price) and I will probably put a value of $15,000 on my truck (it helps to do appraisals at your work). Would I get that if I sold it? Probably not, but I don't think that is too far off either. When you get your truck built and painted, I would try to get $12,000-$15,000 on your truck, depending on how how you get it to look when it is done.

that would be sick to do. throw 20,000 on a 2,00 truck that truck is worth 7,000 now :roflmao:

Just as a heads up.  Your trail rig will need to be licensed and insured to run on most of the trails around Ouray and Moab.  A lot of the trails in Colorado are actually county roads.  Moab has been somewhat lax but is starting to crack down.  But you need to drive to the trail head in either place and that means you need to be legal.

that's a good point. I am planning on insurance and registration around early august maybe april to have a truck. I just don't know when @89 MJis planning his trip. I also won't have my full drivers license at that point, whitch I don't think will be too big of a deal on the trails at all mostly just a problem for getting it down there.

That's good information to know. Do you know why that is? To me, it seems to limit the number of people that could go there (people with tube chassis buggys, etc.)
