It does need driven into there. And, I am wondering, does the larger pilot bushing fit into the larger recess in the end of the crank? It seems as if that might be the one you are supposed to be installing?

a member sent me the link to what he bought and it worked for him. I am going with that. I also researched on some other sites as well. I think I am going to freeze it and soak it in oil and see if I can get it to go in.

 

This is what the old one looked like
