OEM XJ/MJ Tow Hook Brackets

I am looking for a pair of the OEM angle brackets that Go between the “frame horns” and the front crossmember below the radiator.

 

I don’t want the ones that actually are used to attach the tow hooks themselves.

 

I checked eBay, but no luck.  Any suggestions for a source?  Boneyards around here are pretty much cleaned out of this part.

Angle iron and a drill diy style a option?

Yeah, the backup plan is to get some heavy gauge steel bent and I drill it, but that’s more work, of course.

 

I am hoping for the easy route.🥴

Number 5 right? If so there's 19 of the right side left and 12 of the left side left.

Frick. I can still get the bumper brackets too! The only thing you can't get new is the hooks themselves.

A quick search of 52001972 and 52001973 yields some cheap looking versions of number 5.

Fail. No good pic. The right angle reinforcement bracket goes in corners on cross member.

Theres some of those left as well. Actually 31 of the left side and 4 of the right.

I try. For what ever reason I was thinking he was looking for the piece that supports the tow hook brackets and not the ones that bolt into the cross member.

Yeah it’s 31. I ordered the last set of those and I did not get what’s in the catalog. Instead I got loops. Those could be used in conjunction with the hook, the loops can not. Course it doesn’t help the part number superseded to something different.

I'm a big fan of replacing the factory bumper mounting clips with those brackets.  Most of the XJ/MJ bumpers I remove, those clips seize, twist, and break.  The brackets work so much better even if you aren't running the tow hooks & other related hardware.
