are these rare?  I don't think I've ever seen them in a junkyard but once.  :dunno:

Fairly rare. Keep in most most 97+ XJs were optioned nearly the same, without can’t variations.

But you could get both base and sport with manual windows.

but all of them had electric mirrors.

I know some people seek them out so they can still roll the windows down when they take the doors off and on . I ran into several Cherokees with them around here, and normally on the base models as mentioned above. I don't know if I call the rare , but definitely not the main stream Cherokee for sure

I found a set easily enough on car-part.com a few years ago. But I have never seen them in the wild.

I see them maybe a few times a year at the yards. It’s harder to find 99+ ones. Even harder to find 99+ ones for a 2door.

then there are a bunch of low class people at the yards who rip door panels apart looking for aftermarket speakers they almost never find.

I've sold a couple sets of 2dr manual door panels /regulators in the past couple years , my friends work at yards and give me heads up before they are put in the system . I agree with the low class people,  can't tell you how many times I go to get parts that were perfectly good and somebody ruined. It would've taken a couple minutes to do it correctly, and if it was the part that  they needed that got ruined they would feel the same way (maybe) .

From my experience, I've only come across 4drs with power windows and only manual windows on the couple 2drs I've seen/owned.

I have noticed in the past though that it was way easier to find a 4dr manual regulator for sale than a 2dr manual regulator.
