But for me the real joy is getting your vehicle out on the road and/or the trails and driving it. I'd much rather have a restomod 71 Chevelle with a well built modern drivetrain than a factory original SS with the LS6 454. I think the desire for all original cars comes from back in the day when it was hard to bring a car back from being hacked up. When my Dad and I was looking for my first car that is all he would look at, and I get it. Back when 100k miles was a death sentence for a car. So someone (or multiple someone's) certainly got their use and enjoyment from this car. It may never be your 'cup of tea,' but I see the next-level restoration effort the man made to this car. Now that is a good selling point for getting a long bed I absolutely love full restorations, but just so you can restart the clock on enjoying whatever you got. While I am actually enthralled with this TE27 I agree with you. I would love a pristine comanche (or hell even a "nice" one), but only so I could pretend it was new. Will it ever happen?
