Sun visor mirror lights

Got a passenger lighted mirror on the sun visor from an 86 for my 88. Got the harness and plugged it all up. Fit the connector by the glove box in my 88 perfectly but I'm not getting any power to it.  Does anyone know where the power comes from? Or if it uses a separate fuse. Couldn't find anything on the fuse box

My guess is that it hooks into something under the kick panels.  I'd probably put some tone generator or something on the visor wire and start looking for wires under the dash to find it.

Thank you. But now the mystery continues cause that fuse is good. Time to start tracing wires

Turn the key on and turn the mirror lights on. The lights won’t come on without the truck being on. It’s one of those weird things.

Is there a switch built into the visors themselves? Could I run my own power wire to it and the visior be like a toggle switch?

And we have light. Thanks for the help I would have had half the jeep torn apart trying to get power

Yeah no problem. I went through the same thing when I installed my NOS one and was very confused until I turned the key on.
