RochesterMJ
I have a visor that I picked up somewhere, has always felt a little thick, the fabric isn't loose but it doesn't feel glued down to a hard surface. I noticed tonight what I'm pretty sure is a mirror under the fabric. Anyone come across this before? Is this a re-covered mirror? Really tempted to cut it open. JustEmptyEveryPocket
Cut it open. *qualifier* I'm giving this advice since its not actually mine. Proceed at your own risk.
Dzimm
Internally those are just a piece of hard plastic, it's entirely possible that is what you are feeling. Try tapping your knuckle on it in different spots to determine and difference in feel or sound. The mirrors have a raised plastic ring around them and if that's what you feel, then I'd cut it open just to see.
RochesterMJ
Well... I can't make sense of this. Looks like the base of a visor with mirror but had a dummy panel clipped into it. Has a Chrysler part number on the mount. Must have been to save on tooling? Or did the vehicle start with mirrors on all passenger side visors and then was removed as some sort of value package? Used this cover to convert a mirror base to a plain visor instead of or until a new tool could be made for the visor? Not sure I care anymore. Free plastic visor, you pay shipping (assume $15). ghetdjc320
That’s a normal visor. Same as my 91. Not sure what the fuss is about.
watchamakalit
that is the knockout that would not be there if the visor had a vanity mirror. Stock visor with no vanity mirror option.
