SatiricalHen
Started pulling the motor out again, just going to take it to a shop and tell them to fix whatever the issue. I’m tired of fooling with it and I just want to drive the thing again. Finally found a use for the spare tires I have in the shedSent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
SatiricalHen
Got it all out and back together again. The guy at the machine shop said the oil gummed up for some reason and caused a blockage in the oil galley. He said he’s been having a lot of issue with rotella oil recently and won’t warranty any motors that have run it. So now I’m running vr1 in it. If anyone wants to see it in action here’s a YouTube video from my club that it’s in. I think it may be in the morris mountain and harlan videos as well. SatiricalHen
Here’s a video of it on trail 16 at windrock, not the best video, but we only stopped to video places that we didn’t walk right up. Unfortunately there is more motor troubles after this trip and I’ll probably be pulling the stroker out and sticking a junkyard motor in like I should’ve in the first place. SatiricalHen
Plopped another engine in my Cherokee and now I’m just waiting on IRO to get my leaf springs to me. I had been using RE springs that I got used and beat on them for years. Then I decided IRO springs looked decent. That was a joke. Their 5.5” springs and a 1.5” shackle netted me less than 4.5” RE springs that were spanked with 1.25” shackle. 1 year after putting them on I was sitting at 2.5” on one side and 3.5” on the other side when it should be close to 7”. Started the warranty process on the 16th of December and I’m supposed to be getting the new springs the 5th of January. When I talked to them on the 16th I made it known I was trying to do a ride on the 1st and I’ve had to call numerous times and it seems no matter what they’re in zero rush and don’t care. I understand it’s the holidays, but things still could’ve been handled better. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

SatiricalHen
well I tried posting a picture using Tapatalk then tried posting using google chrome on my phone and I couldn’t get the Tapatalk to do anything and the other posted upside down. So a link to a video it is. The springs picked the rear up a lot, hopefully they keep some height and don’t sack out too fast.

SatiricalHen
well the photos ended up upside down again. Tried to fix them, didn’t work. Oh well. Going to build a Ford/Chevy/Jeep HP44 front and snagged a 2000 Isuzu 44 with 8.9” gear for the rear. thinking maybe I could add tabs where the red mark is off the sides of the cage and mount to the top of the leaf spring like this with some kind of boot to keep the interior dry. Any thoughts on the shock mount location?

SatiricalHen
sorry ya’ll are getting more upside down pictures. I can’t ever get them upright. Finished the axle swap. Rear went real easy besides the brake lines and I still need to get the parking brake stuff figured out. The front was a ton of “well this didn’t quite work right so I need to change this and this” I need to make a video going over all of the information of the axles and what complications I ran into, but I still haven’t gotten around to it. If anyone has some questions I’ll gladly answer them.
