Drahcir495
I just hooked up my fog lights and have a question about hooking them up to the factory switch. I get them to work on the switch but the little light stays on at all times -> i have switched the white and black wires wires around and the light stays on either way -> i would love love to keep the original switch but I can’t have that light draining my battery. Anyone know what I am doing wrong or if there is nothing that can be done? I also tried the switch next to it and a completely separate assembly with the same results. eaglescout526
If I remember when I did it, except I used a cut harness, I believe the middle is power and rocking the switch up sends power down that line to the lights. The bottom should be ground. Might have that wrong but I hate tearing out my dash bezel what feels like every week.
Ωhm
Pin A: Ground Pin B: B+ (from Headlight Switch (Lo beam)) Pin C: To Fog lamp relay (coil side)
gogmorgo
There should be factory wiring and a connector behind the dash somewhere, no?

The light should get power only when the switch is on, of course.
Drahcir495
Thanks guys . I will swap the wires and let you know how it goes. Yep there is a wiring harness back there gogmorgo. I disconnected it to pot the leads onto the switch
Drahcir495
Thanks for all the input! It is working perfectly now
Manche757
You proved that the indicator light is connected to the load side of the switch. Origanally you had the line connected to the load side of the switch which energized the indicator light all the time.

I would not have figured it out on my own
