88whitemanche
What’s up everyone I have been having this issue with my truck when driving down the highway it will out of nowhere bog down and pick back up right away. It’s not shutting off and rpm gauge isn’t showing any signs of any immediate drops.... ive done the grounds upgrade, upgraded wires, c101 delete, etc etc.... maybe you guys can give me some insight or something that I might be missing... Fuel pump has been changed to a Bosch bump recommended from a member I believe back earlier this year.... i have not changed out the fuel filter(it’s been about a year) I do have a spare wix filter in the tool box to swap out... Dzimm
I would agree with some sort of fueling issue not likely if it has no pattern. Swap the filter and see if it helps.
fiatslug87
I know when my TPS was not adjusted correctly it would bog down when I accelerated, maybe not your issue but something to keep in mind.
cruiser54
Every Comanche owner should do this: CRUISER'S MOSTLY RENIX TIPS IMPROVING THE FUEL PUMP GROUND JANUARY 3, 2016 CRUISER54 49 COMMENTS The fuel pump and fuel tank sending unit ground at a sheet metal screw up behind the spare tire on an XJ, and behind the driver’s taillamp on an MJ. Not only is a sheet metal screw a lousy way to ground things, this ground path is long and travels through some connectors that are prone to corrosion and moisture. Locate the black wire on the HARNESS side of the fuel pump/sender 3 wire connector. Remove a 6″ length of the split loom covering. Strip back about 1/2″ of insulation from the BLACK wire. Take your new ground wire, preferably at least 14 gauge and 12 to 18 inches long as needed, strip it about 3/4″, and wrap it around the exposed part of the harness plug wire.Solder the connection. Tape it up and reinstall the split loom covering. At the other end of your new ground wire, add a crimp on eyelet. Attach the eyelet under a bolt that goes directly into the chassis. Be sure to clean the attaching point til shiny and apply OxGard to the contact surfaces.

This may be the cause now that I think about it has happened to me before....I’ll check this weekend the tps readings and readjust and hopefully it fixes it but I’ll be ordering an extra just in case
Dzimm
I'd also start to suspect a clogged cat. Especially if it does it while accelerating.

Mine has been emptied out, no regulations down here.... ive been monitoring it lately, yesterday afternoon it was acting up a lot locally then didn’t trip when coasting 60-70mph On the highway... 88whitemanche
Ended up being the fuel pump relay... now there’s another issue... lately I’ve been a lot of more mileage than what the truck is used to,but when I’m getting slow down to a stop I normally press the clutch and put the transmission to neutral the rpm gauge drops so low that it wants to shut off, the past 2 days it’s turned off on me twice Both times going around a bend at 70mph on the highway and I just pressed the clutch to prepare to brake as the car in front of me was slowing down... luckily I was able to start it back up again at the moment
