Low idle or goes up-and-down fine while driving but after coming to a stop or neutral will drop again or die.

Well the vacuum lines on top of the valve cover looks wrong. 86's are a different animal but one is supposed to go to the air box and the other goes to the throttle body. Everyone will tell you to check your manifold bolts as well.

I was looking online and seen some 2.5s with two hoses for the PCV (in and out) I didn’t know this because when I first got her it fe2b67a62cc4720571406bd162ac5ccd.jpg17f2253a54434cf6fa4f6c1474c6cfd6.jpg542ecbbe5c12bb28ae54300d673acfc6.jpghad a crossmember to each pcv ports going straight to the throttlebody it was like that and so I didn’t question it. If this is right is the front end and the back out or vice versa the only thing I could find is the 4.0 unless it’s the same?

I believe that front valve needs to go to the air box. It looks like there is a opening at the bottom of the box that is plugged. Like I said ‘86 is a whole other animal for the Renix years.

Here’s the set up on my 86 with 2.5. Front of the valve cover seems to go to the throttle body and the rear to the air box.DC03708F-273A-4895-9834-69EC4DF97C5C.jpeg.baaa8d3d7475529e91e6414b6e005189.jpeg

Do you know what the rear piece is called?

Took the Comanche out for a quick drive after changing the hoses, if you can see and hear in the video after going into neutral and turning almost dies hitting pedal and doesn’t want to go. She starts up every time with no problem just doesn’t want to stay running without a high rpm

Have you tried blowing smoke into the engine to see if it leaks out anywhere? Does this seem like a sensor issue, maybe MAP sensor? I don't see a vacuum line hooked up to the map. Should the 86 have one?

Simple to check for vacuum leaks. don't need no smoke...

At idle, spray carb cleaner on suspected areas. Idle will change immediately when you hit a vacuum leak.

True, I just like the excuse for a cigar.
