Good news everyone!

The registry build dates are complete! Now I know there may be one or two at the very end of some of the years and that is possibly due to no VIN provided, duplicate post or the VIN was giving issues.

I've learned a lot from this and saw some very nice optioned trucks and some really base models. On to the next project of decoding sales codes and hopefully body models.

I would like to thank JMO for assisting me greatly in this endeavor. He provided info for the '89 and up builds, way more info is available for those years. I would also like to thank everyone else who stuck their hand in the cookie jar on this project, especially Minuit who provided and build sheet with a contradictory build date of the next day and a big thanks to Eagle who provided me some more build sheets to study over and examine.

Inconsistencies I've noticed along the way, VINs do not go in order, so there could be 2-5 XJ's in between each MJ VIN. VIN that ends in GT000001 is an SJ. GT000816 to 820 is I believe the first MJ's that rolled out, VIN as 815 is an XJ and before that is XJ's

I'll find out the last 92 in my travels.

I agree it was awesome to see all of the trucks in the registry. Glad I could help.

5/2/92 was the youngest. Did you find an oldest? What body codes are you trying to figure out?

There's the Body models you posted, If the MJ only had two body styles, long bed and short bed, then there ought to be just two codes. But there's a bunch that are different that could mean something, like my truck is TM62. I know mine is a pioneer long bed, so what I'm wondering is maybe other long bed pioneers have the same model code.

61 is short bed

62 is long bed

Neat! Might be able to get all the numbers for long and short beds that we have in the registry. I’ll have to go back through 86-88 and post some codes and make some tally’s of Long beds and short beds.

I feel like I have seen the number code for long and short beds some where though that wasn't on here

Huh. Ok so if what I’ve read is correct. That actually makes a lot more sense. So it seems like the “J” in the codes mean 4WD and the “T” stands for 2WD. Now I’m curious as to what the “M” can mean.

So there we have that, if there’s any wonders if anyone’s started out as 2 wheel before 4 wheel that can be figured.

I know the “M” can not mean 4.0 as mine has been factory 2.5. So that is ruled out.
