Pete M
so this XJ I'm stripping is a bit rustier than I remember (go figure) and a lot of the little trim screws in the front fascia snapped off with no real effort. what have you guys done to fix this sort of thing? I did some really hack things to keep my old 88 together up front and I'd rather find a proper fix. I've never worked with fiberglass before but I don't really need this piece and it's free so I'm totally willing to experiment with it.
neohic
I had to deal with this with my Eliminator years ago. I ended up drilling out the broken screws, filling with JB Weld, and then reassembling with courser screws.
Jeep Driver
Core drill out broken screw. Epoxy in plastic anchor. Both of which can be found at bLowes.

I think I have two screws snapped of that are supposed to hold the headlight bezels in place. Best solution I can think of. I plan to use stainless steel screws, and liberal anti-sieze. SVPete
I drilled around the broken screw, pulled it out, filled the hole with a chopped fiberglass/epoxy mix, put the marker light back up there and re-drilled a hole.
Keyav8r
When you drill it out check the hole size against on of the inserts. If the hole isn’t too large you could use a small triangular file to make a square hole.
