CMichael Posted April 23, 2019 Posted April 23, 2019 Does seats from a Jeep Cherokee fit my Jeep Comanche (-89)?
Smokeyyank Posted April 23, 2019 Posted April 23, 2019 Only up to 95 IIRC and you need to get them from a 2 door.
RustyRodder Posted April 23, 2019 Posted April 23, 2019 Up to 95 fits. you need the base bits from the Comanche bench seat if you are adapting, and the regular sliders from any 84-95 XJ. They can be 4 or 2 door seats, but 4 door seats won't flip forward.
Pete M Posted April 24, 2019 Posted April 24, 2019 you don't have to limit yourself to XJ seats, or even Jeep seats. The junkyard is FULL of comfy seats that you can adapt in.

Also used the tilt forward mechanism from 95+ XJ 2 door seats in the Grand Cherokee seats for full tilt function. There is a how to in the DIY section.
omega_rugal Posted April 24, 2019 Posted April 24, 2019 some say that the dakota´s split bench are good too
Pete M Posted April 25, 2019 Posted April 25, 2019 the late 90s seems like it was the peak of comfy-ness for chrysler seats. I loved the seats in my old 97 town n country.
RustyRodder Posted April 25, 2019 Posted April 25, 2019 late-90s had good seats in general- Bonneville SSEI seats are fabulous. What happened?
