Seat pan, seat, and lights are wired. Now I need to change the oil in both tractors and get them ready for snow. One is getting a plow, the other is getting a snowblower. I know. I'm a nerd.

best waybis a blower and a plow. both have its pros. i hated swapping plow for blower with my case, but truth be told, i blew it up with the plow. :teehee: 4ft of snow in one night is hard to keep up with.

Geez, that’s a lot of snow.

you haven't lived until you stand there, staring into the whiteout, pondering where on earth you're going to put it all

and then you start contemplating making a flame thrower...   but then you realize the amount of toastiness you'd need and how much money that would take :(   and you just go back to shoveling the heavy white irritant up onto the tall mounds you've already made next to the driveway.

That is so incredibly true. Although, no more shoveling for this guy!!

Wheel weights are installed as is the snowblower. Now I need to put the plow on my less nice tractor. 1F3E9F87-AD26-421C-8261-06E207E6F503.jpeg.c4296f05e92ad042241b89fac2e25d9d.jpeg4A64F2C2-FB1D-4E7B-B939-BAAAB38C2F0D.jpeg.c78af19bfb52f920793d11453fda08f7.jpeg

I had to repair my chute rod on my snowblower. I don’t have finished pics, but here is a pic of the issue. 0E9173C0-2B18-4091-A136-FA4CB19473AB.jpeg.95198ea18614ac92629441df62429824.jpeg

is the rest of the tractor going to looks as spiffy as those weights?  :brows:

Not this tractor, at least not anytime soon. And the other one had a hydraulic hose blow out, so I need a new one.

This snowblower blows the slush that we had on the driveway very well.

those cleaned up real nice. only image how nice that baby would look cleaned up and fresh paint. them old tractors like trucks just have that solid stance and tough look to them. be a good summer project. :brows:

I’m thinking I’ll paint my other one. This one is a nice unmolested survivor and I don’t really want to do much to it.

that's a good plan.  keep it clean, keep it original. :L:

I have found a large frame Bolens that I really want, and I hope to be able to go pick it up this weekend. If I do end up getting it, the less nice 1556 will get listed for sale. The large frame looks virtually identical to these, but it is a larger tractor and has 20 horsepower instead of 15. I have attached two pictures, neither of which are mine. The first is of an HT20 and the second is comparing the size of an HT20 to a 1556. It is a little difficult to tell, but the large frame is a pretty big tractor. My 1556 is actually larger than my parents 2011 Cub Cadet LTX1050.
