ComancheCrusher9800 Posted June 28, 2018 Posted June 28, 2018 Alright so I haven't posted in a while, since my Comanche was running. But I blew the motor about a year ago and am just now getting to replace is. The one I am putting in is a 2.5l out of a 2000 Cherokee. I am using just the motor and putting my flywheel, clutch and transmission, etc. But I want to use the intake and exhaust off of the 2000 but the Throttle body off of my Comanche will not fit on the Cherokee intake. Does anyone make an adapter for it? Or has anyone ever done it? Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
8valvehero Posted June 29, 2018 Posted June 29, 2018 This looks like a cool project. I can’t do much to help with your issue, but please post pics to satisfy curiosity!
cruiser54 Posted June 29, 2018 Posted June 29, 2018 They're 2 completely different fuel injection systems. Just use your stuff.

ComancheCrusher9800 Posted June 30, 2018 Author Posted June 30, 2018 Did you make the adapter or did you buy it? It looks easier than the way I was thinking first. You took the original all thread out and used bolts to put it in and used new ones to adapt your TB to. I like that idea. All I would really need it a piece of plate. But what did you use?Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
Jeep Driver Posted June 30, 2018 Posted June 30, 2018 1/2" aluminum plate. You get 5pcs for $20 on ebay. You'll screw up one or two, trust me, if you are doing by hand as I did. 4"x4".....something like that. Been a while. And you'll need to tap the injector holes, 9/16 tap and plugs, you'll need two taps, one to make a bottom tap.

Jeep Driver Posted June 30, 2018 Posted June 30, 2018 The block is a 98 and the intake....?????, don't remember, 2000 maybe? The block and heads are all the same, intakes may vary but I doubt it, just look around.
Jeep Driver Posted June 30, 2018 Posted June 30, 2018 Let me back up......... Maybe a 93 or 94 intake, has to do with the PS mount. I really don't remember, you'll have to study it out, I began building the engine 4 years ago.

Are you using the original wiring harness?Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
MeanLemons Posted June 30, 2018 Posted June 30, 2018 The adapter plate look interesting. Shouldn’t be too hard to make
