  1. What year Comanche do you have? Are you using the original wiring harness? Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  2. What year model do you have? Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  3. Did you make the adapter or did you buy it? It looks easier than the way I was thinking first. You took the original all thread out and used bolts to put it in and used new ones to adapt your TB to. I like that idea. All I would really need it a piece of plate. But what did you use? 4. Just an Update. I did end up getting a 99 4.0 4×4 2-Door Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  5. Alright so I haven't posted in a while, since my Comanche was running. But I blew the motor about a year ago and am just now getting to replace is. The one I am putting in is a 2.5l out of a 2000 Cherokee. I am using just the motor and putting my flywheel, clutch and transmission, etc. But I want to use the intake and exhaust off of the 2000 but the Throttle body off of my Comanche will not fit on the Cherokee intake. Does anyone make an adapter for it? Or has anyone ever done it? Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  6. Yeah it happened back in April and I got another MJ and now an XJ also Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  7. Yeah it's something because I came up with the name before I wrecked it. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk

  9. Does anybody ever sport a Comanche Club Logo on any of their other vehicle? Of so what kind of vehicle do you have one on?
  10. Is the 1999 Jeep Cherokee a good year? The one I'm interested in is a 99 2 door 4×4 sport. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  11. It spun 3 different bearings 3 different times Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  12. I keep having trouble with the rod bearings. I've rebuilt the engine twice in the last 2 weeks and then had to replace a bearing the.other day. 6 miles down the road and she spins a bearing again. It happen after after 20 miles the other day. First time I rebuilt it a bolt came out of the timing chain fastener and the cam hit it through the block so I had to rebuilt the other motor. Then I slung a bearing. And now I've slung another bearing what do yall thing the problem could be? Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  13. I'm 16 and I have two Comanches both 87 one LWB and One SWB. I bought them both with my own money earned from my two jobs and I'm still in school also. I gotta say I'm very glad I got into the lifestyle Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  14. So I just completed a new rebuild last Wednesday I believe. Everything brand new except the block and head themselves. A day later I realize there is alot of oil all over the passengers side. Next day I went to look and see if the oil filter was leaking or something and then I saw it. A hole about the size of a half dollar in the block. Right beside the cam and a lifter (the lifter is still there). But the engine still runs perfectly also. But this puts me back at stage 1 with it. The hole is right beside the oil pressure gauge in the past picture. What do yall think could of caused it? Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  15. Where'd you get the valve cover from though? Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  16. I had a valve cover on for 11 years never leaked and all I had to do to get it off was use a flathead and then peel it up ND use permatex gasket maker Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  17. I use permatex on every surface where something could leak out of) except the head to block. It would probably help if you did just don't over tighten the bolts and do it in a star pattern and you should be fine Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  18. Worked. Distributor was 180° wrong though so had to reset it. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  19. Remove the rest of the boot and then take the 4 bolts out Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  20. The camshaft sprocket came off. We put it back on. Don't know if it works yet but will see in the morning Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  21. And I did that Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  22. I get a spark in #1 cylinder only. None of the other cylinders have spark Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  23. Say that one more time without all of the dots Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  24. Okay so my old engine died so I rebuild the one out of my older mj. I went to put it in and hooked everything back up and it won't start. It'll sit there and crank. I didn't aline the hormonic balancer the right way with the marker but I don't think that should matter because the dots were aligned on the timing sprockets. And I do have gas and it will turn over so I know it's something with the spark. But to do with that. I am getting spark from the coil but not from the distributor. The spark has gone back the distributor ( I know because it got me when in did) but I couldn't see the spark jumping every time with every plug wire and I don't see why. Can someone please help me with this Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  25. It's throttle body injection Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
