chopper35nj
Any opinion on the Crown Automotive Crank Position Sensor? Not trying to cheap out here but the Mopar unit is just ridiculously expensive. Reviews for most brands are poor at best, even the NAPA brand that Cruiser54 had recomended at one time. Thoughts?
Jeep Driver
You think $55 is expensive? You haven't even started yet.................

HOrnbrod
Buying C.R.A.P. (Chinese Replacement Auto Parts) auto parts will yield crap results. Especially with sensors/senders. You will have to learn for yourself not to cheap out with C.R.A.P. parts; they will cost you more in the long run.

I’ll definitely 2nd that...you can get by most of the time buying the “knock off garbage” for non-critical items but when it comes to the important stuff, electronics, etc., spend the extra money, you will come out way ahead in the long. Believe me, been there and done it!!!! Griff
dkenitz
Hmm, just got one the other week for ~$32 on eBay. I guess the prices have gone up a bit. No matter, I would highly recommend paying the $55. I would have paid double that after my recent experience (wasted time and money) with inferior replacement CPS.
Minuit
I will make the possibly bold assertion that there are absolutely no aftermarket sensors worth buying on the market. I have not had good results from a single one. The CKP is one of those things your engine can't run without. Don't cheap out on it.
chopper35nj
OK guys, thank you. The problem hasn’t been about a $55 dollar part. The issue is “shipping and handling” l couldn’t get one to my door for less than $77, l have been looking. It just seems like a lot, especially since the Echelon unit from Napa used to be regarded pretty highly and is available for just more tgan half that money. And, would like to have it running today, not the middle of next week.
