Rear fender flares

I know someone just posted about flares but trying to figure out how to go about this. Suggestions?

Push the inner and outer sheet metal together and weld up the seam.  After that you'll have to look at the cutout flare options and hope it's not cut too far or build your own. 

 

Edit: the more I look at it, the more I think you'll have to make your own flares.  That was cut really far.

There's no off the shelf flare that will fit that.

 

I'd Flexy Flare it.  Or maybe it's Flexi-flare.

My '88 4.0L MJ is almost that bad (not quite). I'm still considering options. I don't plan to use mine for off-road any more, and I don't plan on tires larger than 235/75R15s or possibly 30s, so I'm seriously considering grafting on the rear quarters from a 2-door XJ. The wheel arches will be a little smaller than proper MJ arches, but I think it will be easier to hide the carnage that way.

He has bedsides, but he forms them in a brake rather than with a die.  So they do not have the wheel arches, or corners, they're just a basically flat piece that's been bent with the basic body lines (he cuts a wheel well out of them, but it's just an opening, no edges or anything).

Could potentially just cut all the wheel wells out of an XJ and piece together an arch.  Wouldn't be too complicated.

Take a look at the Napier Flares, not cheap but you have to cut away to install them anyway. You may just need to trim now that the wheel openings are in place. Doug is pretty good at making suggestions. My bedsides were in good shape and the wheel openings were stock so I had to fit and trim to make the flares work.
