Recommended Posts

Hey, I'm new to the forum, so I guess I'll introduce myself and my rig here.

She's a 1989 jeep comanche short bed, 4.0 I6, AW4 transmission, dana 30/35.

Upgrades include:

6" teraflex long arm lift

Atlas II 4.3:1

4.10 gearing

ARB airlockers front and rear

sway bar quick disco's

bushwacker fender flares

33x12.5r15 procomp xterrains

15" American racing teflon coated rims

2.5" catback

removable mudflaps (dang cops)

Custom JVC/Alpine/pioneer sound system

Gauges out of a cherokee (full instrumentation)

Yellow paint job. Yellow is 2001 nissan yellow.

all sorts of other goodies.

I probably forgot some stuff...

Gonna be doing bumpers, skid plates, rocksliders, roll cage, etc. soon.

Then down the road, a chev 350.

The Xterrains do a great job. I like them better than anything I've ever wheeled with. Those being BFG mud terrains, BFG allterrains, and toyo M/Ts. They grip like nobodys business.

What took me so long to join? I just barely heard about all ya'all...

I'll get rid if the D35 once I snap a couple axles. (Aint broke one yet. 8))

WOOOHOO! thats one badass truck man. love it.

only thing i would add would be some black JEEP on the tailgate from spence at http://www.jeepsticker.com

I'm pretty sure the AW4 is the difference between breaking and not breaking a d35 we wheeled one on 33's for the longest time with a 4.0 aw4 (never broke, just replaced it with a 44)

Thanks ya'all.

As to how heavy the x-terrains are, I guess that now that I think about it they are pretty heavy. It don't bother me none at all though.\

Edit: The reflective black jeep decal sounds pretty cool. Might buy it. Definately going to buy the "Easy to be a truck, But hard to be a Jeep" Sticker. Get it in yellow. Put it across the back window.

Oh, the jeep in the back ground is my dad's. I was using his garage for the build up. The boat he is storing for a freind, same with the jet ski's.

I need you honest opinions. What do you think of the rims? Do they look ok on my truck?

Very nice truck! I dig the yellow!

A buddy of mine had Xterrains and said they were the heaviest tire he has ever had...what do you think? He's a pretty beefy guy too :dunno:

Come on over, and try dickin around with one of my XML's, they arent even mounted! Then re-evaluate x-terrains being heavy... :D

What with having that happen, I'm thinking I might be ditching the D35

I was thinking maybe a Ford 9" From currie enterprises with arb, 4.11's, and 11" disc brakes?

Or a similar setup on a D44?

Is that Flat Iron Mesa, and Easter Egg hill in Moab?

Nice pics. Must've been a tight squeeze.

How hairy was that one spot by the ledge where ya gotta squeeze around that one rock?
