Does this make my @$$ look fat?

I went to Bass Pro this weekend and picked up a new play toy. We settled on a Sun Tracker Fishin' Barge 20 DLX. This boat has two live wells and a bunch of storage. With my neck issues and my career winding down we decided a pontoon was the way to go.

The WK2 Trailhawk pulls it like a champ. Having a 360 horse Hemi helps as well. The air suspension had no problem keeping the Jeep level. We are taking the boat to the river Saturday to make sure all is well and to gently break in the motor before it gets too cold.07207a60d1260ba0dfa352ba70c42bd1.jpg2aa647c27958d7e0fd76aa2d31c23f72.jpg052076ac6d653bb41b1a5440c35b88a9.jpgd9fa8a1dc7f85d8931c49d339795ac4d.jpg4a329a9d50919258b825e158d33d3ce7.jpg5ce4b53b7d14a2f48dedb30a0d91f636.jpg

Excellent Bo.  I had a smaller 16' Sun Tracker pontoon boat years ago when we lived on the Suwannee River in FL and we loved it. It's wasn't all that great for fishing because it was about as maneuverable as a barge, but it was great for slow river cruising, relaxing,  and  :beerbang: .  Had some good times in that thing....

BTW, how far do you have to go there to find the nearest navigable river?   :D

We took the boat to the Colorado River this weekend to break in the motor and get to know it.

The wife did great loading and unloading it in the wind. We went up river from the Blue Water Casino where we put in and stopped at Buckskin Mountain State Park to let the dogs play

Steph loves her new boat.

It is very comfortable and I have made it my own.

Steph thought my grill idea was redneck but I assured her it would be awesome.

I was right. Nothing like a hot meal on the water. I have $50 total into something that Tracker wanted $325 for.

We beached across from the Pirates Den to have lunch and play in the water with the dogs.

We made a trip up to the Parker Dam before heading back home.

Meg did great towing it. We were going to use the Trailhawk but it was really windy that morning so we decided the big girl would be a safer bet.

Bo,

Nice pictures!  Last weekend was great weather in the desert.  I spent the weekend in Palm Springs.  Not so much water there but lots of air conditioned stores, shops, places to eat.  But it is hard to beat the river water on a hot day for cooling off.
