Dzimm Posted April 1, 2017 Posted April 1, 2017 So I just saw an old square body dodge ram. Got a close look at the tailights and they look like comanche tails. Seemed to be the same size and everything. Has anyone ever tried these lights on an MJ or am I just imagining things?
Pete M Posted April 1, 2017 Posted April 1, 2017 if they are the same as the old dakota taillights, there's a writeup in the DIY link in my sig for how close/notclose they are.
Tex06 Posted April 1, 2017 Posted April 1, 2017 Been tried I've heard. They don't fit, no idea if they could be modified though. Sent from my SM-G930T using Tapatalk
Jeep Driver Posted April 1, 2017 Posted April 1, 2017 Next week I'm ordering 1948 Chevy LED tail lights, and frenching buckets. And and English wheel. :) http://www.speedwaymotors.com/1941-1948-Chevy-LED-Tail-Light-Assembly,7956.html
Dzimm Posted April 1, 2017 Author Posted April 1, 2017 I would figure the mounting would be slightly different. They just look exactly the same. Maybe if I come across a set some day I'll grab them just to see side by side. It would be nice to have an option if MJ tails become harder to find or more expensive.
Pete M Posted April 1, 2017 Posted April 1, 2017 don't know about ram taillights, but this is an early dakota on the left:
jeeptec1 Posted April 1, 2017 Posted April 1, 2017 When I had my first Comanche taillights were cheap and everywhere. Not anymore. Ouch are the prices Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
