Minuit
Full console. The exact same one is found in 90% of XJs out there.
AMC86Kid
i can double check but usually when you go to pick a part or pull n save they have a lot of vehicles but about 60 % of the parts on the vehicles are missing and they charge you to enter the yard so if you pay money an just show up and find out that your out of luck its super disappointing :fs1:
Eagle
"Nothing ventured ... nothing gained." You are starting off on what is going to be a lengthy process. You ARE going to need parts that are specific to the MJ -- or at least to the MJ and XJ. Paying the admission price is a worthwhile investment just so you can scope out the place and see what's there so you'll know where to look in the future. AMC86Kid
i agree it would be a good future investment but maybe i can get fiberglass and glue on a cup holder or something to make the back half not look so bad you never know i might get lucky
DirtyComanche
I can't possibly imagine demand for those consoles outpacing the supply. The yard here crushed most of their XJs about a month ago (he didn't call me first, grr), and I'm betting 95% of those XJs still had the console in them when they got crushed. The 3 he has left all have them, or did when I was there a couple weeks ago.
yxmj
I am pretty sure what you have is an xj console that someone "cut down" to fit. I would take a guess that you had a mini to start.....your carpet between the seats is my clue

Save yourself the effort, money, and heartache and just buy a console.

I think the console probably is original.
yxmj
Just a guess ....but if my memory is correct ...if it had a full console would there not be a small cut out in the carpet between the seats for mounting?
gogmorgo
I've got a full console from a '93 XJ in the basement. Should be the same, only it's grey, not beige like yours. Yours for the cost of shipping if you want it... But it won't be cheap from the great white north. I can keep an eye out for a beige one (pretty sure that Waggy had one) but it may be a while before I get back to a yard... The reason plans changed yesterday was cause it was -30 that morning. AMC86Kid
from what i see it looks like the center console is original and some one cut out the back container part then some how some way the chairs go switched out with XJ ones the reason why i think the chairs were switched out is because they are just screwed to the floor not bolted down like they should be man i feel so bad for this truck she's been abused a lot :( i will take any center console you got because i can just repaint it but to ship something that big internationally is gonna cost like over 100 bucks thats kind of pricey
gogmorgo
Yup, just checked package rates and yeah, it'll be ballpark CAD$100. Put up a wanted ad in the classifieds. Might find something closer.
